How it Works
Eligible members can skip one monthly payment on qualifying loans in December for a fee. It’s a simple way to give yourself a little extra financial breathing room without the hassle.
It’s quick and easy. Don’t wait until December—the processing fee increases!
Processing Fee
- $39 per qualifying loan
- $65 if application is received on or after December 1, 2026

Recreational Loans
Lifestyle Loans
Home Equity (Fixed)
Home Improvement
*To qualify, your Novation Credit Union loan account must be in good standing, have at least 6 months of payment history, a balance of $200 or more, and a monthly payment greater than $100. First Mortgage Loans, Home Equity Lines of Credit, Visa® Credit Cards, Checking Overdraft Protection, Student Loans, or Student Loan Refinances are not eligible. Each qualifying loan may skip a maximum of one loan payment in December. A non-refundable administrative fee of $39 per skipped payment applies to requests received by 11/30; requests received on or after 12/1 are subject to a $65 fee. Requests must be received at least 5 working days before the payment due date. Interest will continue to accrue during the skipped payment period, which may increase the total cost of the loan and extend the repayment term. If your loan has GAP, debt protection, or other ancillary coverage, skipped payments may affect your coverage or benefits and could result in a remaining loan balance; please refer to your applicable agreement for specific terms and limitations. All Skip-a-Pay requests are subject to approval, eligibility requirements, and additional restrictions.
