Our Mission
Supporting financial wellness in our community
The Novation Foundation further supports our aim to be your financial partner for life, supporting organizations focused on enhancing financial literacy and wellness in the communities we serve.
Contributions include monetary support as well as volunteer time and effort from the staff of Novation Financial, attending various events, taking shifts at various charitable organizations, and mentoring students in local schools.
300 Hours of Volunteer Time
In 2025, Novation staff provided a total of nearly 300 hours of time in support of financial literacy and financial wellness causes in our local communities. Everything from coordinating coat drives and taking shifts at local food pantries to building dressers and e-mentoring high school students.
We have a lot of fun in the process, especially when trying new things like Bed Racing for Bridging.
Offering Financial Support
The Novation Foundation provided over $25,000 to organizations in our communities last year, highlighted by the receipt of matching funds from the Federal Home Bank of Des Moines (FHLB Des Moines) to present BestPrep with a $20,000 grant to further their efforts to prepare Minnesota students for success beyond the classroom.
We were proud to support organizations such as Open Cupboard, Every Meal, the Minnesota Credit Union Network Foundation, Stroll for Hope (Hutchinson Hospital Foundation), and more.
Our Thanks
The Foundation raises funds through a variety of sources, starting with Novation Financial staff. Many staff members contribute to the Foundation via payroll deduction. We also appreciate the support of our members and other donors throughout the year.
Since 2025 we have held an annual fundraiser consisting of a pickleball tournament and other fun activities. It allows community members, area credit union representatives, and other industry representatives to come together to make a positive difference.

Novation Foundation Activities
eMentoring with BestPrep
BestPrep prepares students with business, career, and financial literacy skills through hands-on experiences that inspire success in work and life. Novation staff participated in BestPrep’s eMentor and mock interview program with 26 students in local high schools during the 2025-26 academic year.
Supporting Housing Stability with Bridging, Inc.
Bridging, Inc. is focused on housing stability in the Twin Cities, providing donated furniture and household goods to families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness and poverty. Novation supported a blanket collection drive and performed warehouse cleanup at Bridging.
